How to find the best vacation home experience:

Sticking to your budget:

  • In the Carolina Beach area, The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To book the largest vacation home within your budget, we suggest booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your family.
  • Property management companies typically offer guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Often, management companies supply Carolina Beach area travel guides that include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Use filters to narrow your rental search:

  • Choose your vacation dates and maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. 204 Just Dune Our Thing - Summer Sands Suites has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Carolina Beach rental home search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the property management company before you book the home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask your host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • Visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental

More considerations for your visit:

  • Get the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Make a record of any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately send them to the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are helpful if a dispute is filed.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a terrific source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, take video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a fantastic vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
