Rental property booking tips and tricks:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • Summer is high season in the Carolina Beach area. Book your Carolina Beach rental property in Spring or Fall to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • The earlier your group can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation rental up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Booking websites often offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines contain offers and deals for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Choosing and booking your prefectrental:

  • Select vacation dates and budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. 215 Southern Skye by Sunset Vacations has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible online. Otherwise, email or call the property manager before you reserve the rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You'll need to work out which bed configuration is optimal for your trip.
  • Does your group require unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you must book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, hosts charge additional pet fees.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Add the property manager's information to your phone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • At Check-in, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of problems.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a great source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental home while you're away. Keep your property safe!
  • Double-check the property to make sure that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a excellent vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
