"Air" is a striking bungalow located on the Bald Head Marina & the ideal home on Bald Head Island for a couples hideaway, nomad traveler, or businessperson looking to appreciate the WFH lifestyle from a beach chair. The island is a photographer and/or nature lovers dream! Appreciate gorgeous sunsets and sunrises on the pristine beaches of Bald Head Island. The dark skies offer vistas of the Milky Way Galaxy you can enjoy without a telescope. -or- Savor a peaceful walk thru miles of undeveloped beaches and preserved natural forests, lovingly maintained by the BHI Converancy programs to keep the island wild and fabulous. You can often spot deer, fox, and even turtles - especially in hatching season (Bald Head Island is famed for its Sea Turtle conservancy program).

"Air" Cottage is very conveniently located on the water in the Marina, min. walks from stores and eateries, Old Baldy lighthouse, and across the street from a great spot to rent bicycles, paddleboards, etc.
And of course, being at the marina, you get to watch the boats come in.
It's a 5 min. walk to the shore, and there's tons of shell-seeking opportunities to be had on all of the beaches that surround the island.
10 min cart ride to superb grocery store, and more stores, eateries, etc.

Once arrived onto Bald Head Island, "Air" is a short walk around the marina, or a slightly longer swim (please don't!). We are located across from The Inn at Bald Head Island.

Bikes are available to rent. Personal bicycles can also be brought on the island thru ticket purchase with the ferry terminal.

About the Area

Located in Bald Head Island, this cottage is on the waterfront. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Kure Beach and popular attractions include North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher and Carolina Beach Boardwalk. Bald Head Island Information Center and North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

• Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
• June, July, and August are high season in the Carolina Beach area. To get the most suitable rental home for your budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities.
• Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your group qualifies for a special rate.
• Property managers typically offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
