Harbour Village Cottage on Bald Head Island. This home is tucked back from all of the excitement of the Harbour, but close enough to have painless access to the marina, dining, and creek activities. The first floor has wrap-around decking with two covered porches and a screened porch. White-washed ship-lapped walls will give you a nostalgic island feel. Two bedrooms (one with ensuite bath) are off the main hall. There is also a cavernous laundry room and full guest bath. Both full baths have delightfully tiled showers and deluxe vanities. Upstairs you will find the main living area. Other than the pretty sunlight and peeks of the creek from nearly every window, you'll notice a sizable office off of the living room which can be closed off by a barn door for privacy. There is a sleeper couch in this room, so it is effortlessly converted to a 4th bedroom. The dining area and kitchen flow into each other and share a vaulted ceiling. The huge island with quartz countertop and drink cooler compliments the stainless appliances and the apron front sink in the kitchen. There is another well appointed full bath off of the kitchen. Just off the living area is access to the calming creekview porch. A spiral staircase leads to the 3rd bedroom in the loft. Two constructed-in twin beds and a queen sized bed allow for more guests to stay. The bungalow also features new furnishings and comes with 3 golf carts. Renters have complimentary access to a 30-foot boat slip, C3. BHI Club (except golf) is available for temporary membership. Shoal's Club not available. House includes 4 bicycles, beach chairs, beach towels, body boards. One week minimum with exceptions.

How to get the best Bald Head Island vacation property experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • In the Carolina Beach area, The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Booking your rental property 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • Summer is high season in Bald Head Island. To find the best rental home for your budget, we recommend booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at Carolina Beach restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Some property managers offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Property managers frequently offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Many rental management companies supply Carolina Beach area visitor guides which will include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Choose dates and maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your family requires. BHI Harbour - Beautiful Views has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally accessible online. If not, call the property manager before booking your rental. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out what is suitable for your vacation group.
  • Some properties allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the host about pet restrictions before booking.
  • Does your family require particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental

Know before you go:

  • We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent many issues.
  • Lock your rental while you're out. Keep your property safe!
  • To ensure that damages aren't linked to your stay, note any problem areas during arrival. Speak to the host immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, take photos of the rental to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to propel future reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
