Tricks and tips to get the perfect Carolina Beach vacation home experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. To find the best rental home within your budget, we suggest booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Carolina Beach restaurants and activities.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property managers typically offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Look for your local Carolina Beach area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides contain deals for nearby accommodations and attractions.

Planning, picking, and booking your prefect Carolina Beach rental home:

  • Select vacation week and maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. 4 Bedroom Townhome 1 Block from Beach has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, email the host before reserving the vacation property. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or charges may be applied to your agreement.
  • If there's a particular Carolina Beach beach you long to visit, look for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Tips for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, intercom or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many concerns.
  • Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • During arrival, document any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • On check-out day, take a final walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a excellent time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
