Summary:
Skillfully designed for the ideal family beach vacation, the privately owned Purple Rain comfortably sleeps 14 and features a heated pool, elevator, and an en suite bathroom in every bedroom. Unlike most OIB homes that require long walks to beach access where you will fight for very limited space, Purple is 200 ft. from end of the island beach access. Purple Rain showcases ocean vistas to the South & East, and vistas of the Shallotte inlet and ICW from the North & West. Come & Savor!

Tricks and tips to get the best Ocean Isle Beach rental home experience:

How to get the best value:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Carolina Beach area. To get the best rental home for your budget, we recommend reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some owners offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers typically offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Carolina Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guides have coupons for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Narrow your Search:

  • Select a group lead, select your vacation dates, and select a max budget.
  • Private Pool
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is generally available on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the host before you reserve your home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish what configuration is optimal for your trip.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction or event? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking
  • If your group is traveling with pets, filter your search for a property that allows animals. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.

More tips for your stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the directions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
  • During arrival, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the host. Record all coorespondence.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Protect your property!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal items. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a fantastic time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
