Strategies to get the very best vacation home experience:

Getting the best rental home value:

  • Summertime is high season in the Carolina Beach area. To find the best value, try changing your trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer warmer temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic.
  • The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Look for your local Carolina Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides have offers and deals for local tours, shops, and attractions.

Narrow your Search:

  • Begin by selecting a vacation week and a budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Beautifully appointed 2BR Condo with great views in Seatrail in Sunset Beach (RC104) has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible online. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before you reserve the rental. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If there's a certain Carolina Beach attraction you simply love, look for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or applied to your agreement.

Tips to have a wonderful stay:

  • Put the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To ensure that no damages are linked to your family's visit, make a record of any problem areas when you arrive. message the rental manager immediately to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few issues.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers bothering your peaceful home. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • When it's time to leave, take a walk-through to make sure you didn't forget any personal items. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and scan for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave feedback! Property managers rely on good ratings to stimulate new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will be thankful you shared your review find their best vacation rental. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
