Our top Rental property booking tips and tricks:

How to get the best value:

  • The earlier your group can book, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Reserving your rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. To get the largest rental within budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite Carolina Beach restaurants and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property managers typically offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Often, property management companies supply Carolina Beach area visitors guide magazines which will include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Finding the best rental home:

  • Begin by selecting your vacation dates and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration you need. Ocean Front Beach Complex\/ Unit B-3\/ Beach Villas\/ Book Early For 2023 has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Carolina Beach vacation rental search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible online. If not, email the property owner before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you will need a pet-friendly rental. Get information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental

Know before you go:

  • Take a copy of the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your . Put the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent many issues.
  • Lock your rental while you are out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • Make a record of any damages to the property during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are very helpful if a dispute is filed.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Just prior to departing, complete a walk-through to make sure you did not forget any personal items. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, remember to take video of the rental to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent ratings to propel future bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
