Tips for getting the perfect Carolina Beach vacation home experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • Booking your vacation home in Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • In the Carolina Beach area, The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental home 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
  • Some hosts offer promotional rates for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Property management companies often offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines contain deals for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Select a group leader, choose your trip dates, and choose a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Panoramic River View Downtown Condo W\/Balcony has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Carolina Beach vacation rental search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is normally available online. If not, call the property manager before reserving your home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish what is optimal for your family.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable breeds and types before booking.

More tips for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • To make certain no damages are attributed to your family's stay, make note of any problem areas upon check in. message the rental manager immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors bothering your home life. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would have never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected everything. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and look for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a excellent vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
