Tips and Tricks to get the very best Carolina Beach rental experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • In the Carolina Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked very early. Reserving your rental home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • Summer is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. To get the best value, shift your trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warm weather, , and greatly reduced traffic.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Booking websites typically offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Carolina Beach area visitor guides which often include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Choosing the perfect vacation rental in the Carolina Beach area:

  • Begin by choosing your vacation dates and a budget.
  • Beach Front + Community Pool! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always available on booking websites. Otherwise, email the property manager before you reserve the rental. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to establish what configuration is best for your family.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you will need a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a certain Carolina Beach destination you crave, keep an eye out for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Have a wonderful stay:

  • Add the host's contact info to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Document any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately contact the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are useful if a dispute is filed.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, take video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a wonderful vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
