Vacation rental tips:

When to visit Wrightsville Beach & When to book:

  • June, July, and August are high season in the Carolina Beach area. Reserving a rental home in Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Look for your local Carolina Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guides have discounts for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

Selecting the perfect vacation home:

  • Begin by selecting your trip dates and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Renovated 3 Bedroom TownHome in The Heart of Wrightsville Beach has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally available on booking websites. If not, email or call the property management company before you book the property. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to establish what configuration is right for your vacation family.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, search for a pet-friendly property. Request information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, hosts charge additional pet fees.

More tips for your stay:

  • Store the owner's information in your smartphone.
  • To ensure that damages are not attributed to your family's visit, record any problem areas when you arrive. Get in touch with the host immediately to report any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent many concerns.
  • Respect your neighbors. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and look for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a great time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
