Strategies for getting the perfect rental home experience:

Getting the most from your spending budget:

  • The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Booking your rental home 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • Reserve your rental property in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property managers usually offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Carolina Beach area travel guides that include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Make a plan and pick your prefect Carolina Beach rental home:

  • Select a designated group leader, select your dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Charming 2 Bedroom with near desirable East Beach! Both BHI and Shoals club\n has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is almost always available on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the property owner before reserving the home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a rental that allows animals. Get specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking

During your stay:

  • Store the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your visit, make note of any problem areas during arrival. message the host right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors disrupting your peace and quiet. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you did not forget any personal items. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, remember to take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a terrific stay? Most rental managers make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
