Our top Rental booking tips and tricks:

Get the most from your spending budget:

  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is high season in Ocean Isle Beach. To book the best vacation home within your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Carolina Beach attractions and restaurants. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Some property managers offer promotional rates for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your family.
  • Property management companies often offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Carolina Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guides have deals for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Narrow your Search:

  • Start by selecting your potential vacation weeks and a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Friendly Shores - New, Modern home with Incredible Views of ICW, Marsh and Ocean has 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible online. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before you reserve the home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine what configuration is best for your trip.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask your host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
  • Looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Additional considerations:

  • Be sure you get the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your . Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Document any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are beneficial if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an incredible resource to find the best local attractions.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all of your things. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and look for damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a great vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
