Strategies to get the best rental home experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • Summer is the most expensive season in the Carolina Beach area. To get the best value, shift your family's Carolina Beach trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • In the Carolina Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • Some property management companies offer special rates for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Often, management companies supply Carolina Beach area visitor guide magazines which often include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

How to pick the perfect rental home in Wrightsville Beach:

  • Select your dates and maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Luxury ocean-view retreat. 111 Steps away! has 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Carolina Beach vacation rental search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is often available on booking pages. If not, email or call the property management company before you book the rental. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Is your family looking for specific amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you will need a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.

Tips for your stay:

  • Add the property manager's information to your smartphone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Note any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are valuable if a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent quite a few difficulties.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed everything on check-out day. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and scan for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a excellent vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
