How to find the best Carolina Beach vacation home experience:

How to get the best value:

  • The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • Summer time is high season in Sunset Beach. Booking a rental in Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your family qualifies for a special rate.
  • Booking websites typically offer renters an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Carolina Beach area visitor guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • First, have your group choose dates and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your family requires. Sunny condo with a pool, balcony, chef's kitchen, beach gear, W\/D, & AC has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you looking for unique amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental

More considerations for your visit:

  • Add the host's information to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Upon check-in, note any damages to the property and immediately contact the owner. Record all coorespondence.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are an incredible source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all belongings. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, remember to take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a great stay? Many rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
