Tips and Tricks to get the best Carolina Beach vacation home experience:

Get the most from your budget:

  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season in the Carolina Beach area. Booking your vacation home in Fall or Spring is an excellent way to save on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property management companies usually offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Carolina Beach area visitor guide magazines which will include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning and picking yourvacation home:

  • Begin by selecting your trip dates and a max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. The Salty \"A\" /1 Min Walk To The Beach / Hot tub has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Carolina Beach rental home search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is usually available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the property manager before you book the property. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly property. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Advice for a smooth stay:

  • Put the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Upon arrival, make note of any issues with the property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property a final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Leave feedback! Property owners rely on good feedback to propel more bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
