Bourbon Street

Downtown Wilmington is known for its collection of hip restaurants with culinary inspirations from around the world, and the centrally located Bourbon Street is no exception. Found just a block away from the waterfront, this cool food and drink destination features a distinctive New Orleans vibe that is unmistakable, from the hundreds of beads that drip from the towering ceiling, to the classic Louisiana cuisine.

Patrons can saddle up to the wooden bar or settle into one of the wooden pub tables to start their New Orleans exploration. The menu is dauntingly long and varied, with an incredible selection of appetizers, burgers, BBQ and ribs, sliders, pastas, Po’boys, steaks, wraps, and Louisiana specialties. It makes for some tough choices when it’s time to eat, but patrons can begin with the vast starter section, which includes Cajun fried crab cakes, char-broiled oysters, and Louisiana gumbo. Diners who can’t decide what to order for the main course can’t go wrong with the Louisiana specialties, which are unique in this section of North Carolina, and which include big plates of Jambalaya, red beans and rice, and crawfish Etoufee. Delicious and entertaining, no matter what the hour, Bourbon Street is bringing the flavors and party atmosphere of the Big Easy close to home.
