The Pirates Deck is a fun afternoon, evening, or even after-hours hang-out where patrons can feast on big plates of classic southern fare and seafood baskets in a relaxed and no-frills atmosphere. Located in one of the busiest sections of the island along Oak Island Drive, and close to a number of souvenir shops, grocery stores, and the beach itself, The Pirates Deck is where hungry vacationers go to enjoy a cold beer, a messy meal, and a basic beach bar setting that still has a nice dose of southern hospitality.

The menu is fairly varied and has a selection of appetizers, salads and soups, seafood platters, steaks, burgers, and sandwiches, although new patrons will quickly notice there’s a big focus on classic seafood dishes. For something traditional or Low County-centric, try the crab cakes, deviled crabs, flounder basket, or fried oyster platter, or opt for a combo which is served with fires and slaw. Steak fans will find sirloins, NY strips, and rib-eyes on the menu in varying sizes, and bar patrons can choose from more than a dozen appetizers to wash down a beer or two, including Mahi Mahi fingers, chili cheese fries, and deep fried corn on the cob. It’s simple food to be sure, but for frequent fans, it’s a perfect place to cap off a beach day, pub-style
