Tokyo 101

Tokyo 101 is a fun go-to for lunch or dinner after a full morning or afternoon of shopping in Wilmington’s expansive Mayfaire complex. Featuring a wealth of sushi and Japanese fare in a slightly upscale and elevated environment, Tokyo 101 takes casual Asian cuisine to new and somewhat refined heights.

The menu is divided into sushi rolls, appetizers, soups and salads, and lunch and dinner sections, and each category has its own mouth-watering temptations. Lunch and dinner guests can start off a multi-course meal with a fresh starter like baked mussels, edamame, or Panko-crusted soft shell crab, or can opt for something lighter like a spicy crab salad, cucumber salad, or a hot bowl of Miso soup. The sushi menu is just as enticing, with several different varieties to choose from including local specialties like the NC Deluxe Roll with shrimp and red snapper tempura, and the daily lunch specials are ideal for a midday meal, with special Hibachi entrees and distinct Bento boxes. When in doubt, opt for the Bento box, which boasts Hibachi, a salad with ginger dressing, fried rice, and 2 side items (including sushi rolls) for a full taste of what Tokyo 101 has to offer. Popular with the local lunchtime crowd, Tokyo 101 is giving Mayfaire shoppers a solid reason to feast on Japanese fare.
