A Shore Place transcends the typical beach bungalow, offering a striking getaway that delightfully fuses Hamptons-style elegance with coastal appeal and unmatched comfort. As you step inside, you're instantly greeted by an broad wall of windows framing sweeping ocean vistas that fill the space with natural light. The open floor plan accentuates the striking exposed beam vaulted ceilings, while the real showstopper is the one-of-a-kind seashell fireplace crafted with shells collected from Oak Island's beach! After a day of coastal adventures, the two full-size couches invite you to relax and savor the view. For that additional touch of ambiance, switch on the electric fireplace with its captivating multicolored flames that add a comfortable glow to your evening. When it's time for a movie, the huge flat-screen TV provides 80+ channels on YouTube TV and complimentary Netflix — which is available on every TV throughout the home. The half bath is hidden off of the living space through a secret door, will you be able to find it?

The gourmet kitchen has completely transformed into a chef's paradise with extravagant multicolored stone countertops, stainless steel appliances, and a convenient pot filler above the brand-new electric stove. Gather around the cavernous Fantasy Brown quartzite kitchen island that seats four for morning coffee and evening beverages. A completely equipped coffee station awaits with both a drip coffee maker and a Keurig to cater to everybody's preferences. Adjacent to the kitchen, the dining area comfortably seats six and features marvelous ocean vistas to elevate every meal.

Outside, the kitchen and dining area flow seamlessly onto the covered deck, where matching granite countertops, an outdoor sink, and a comfortable table for four make alfresco dining a delight. This covered space opens to an expansive oceanfront deck with five cozy rocking chairs, ideal for unwinding to the relaxing sound of the waves. Just beyond, a roomy constructed-in U-shaped seating area surrounds a gas fire pit, setting the scene for calming during the day and storytelling under the stars in the evening.

The primary king is a true getaway, complete with bespoke artwork, a serene blue-painted ceiling, and a wall-mounted TV. Its ensuite bath exudes spa-like luxury with a double vanity, delightful lozenge-shaped mirrors, a walk-in shower with a rain showerhead, and a soaking tub for ultimate relaxation. The second king suite features constructed-in cabinets, a wall-mounted TV, and an ensuite bath with a enormous tiled shower, toilet and double vanity, bringing both comfort and style.

A striking queen bedroom offers a calming space with its own wall-mounted TV, ideal for winding down after a beach day. Young guests will adore the enchanting "Castle Bunkroom," with its two constructed-in double beds featuring a castle facade and playful color-changing nautical lights that create a whimsical hideaway. These rooms have simple access to a handsomely designed full hall bath with a tub/shower combination.

For post-beach refreshment, there's an enclosed outdoor shower with hot and cold water and an open cold-water shower at beach level. Fire up the gas grille for family cookouts, and securely stow your beach essentials, fishing gear, and bicycles in the lockable storage area under the home. How to get the best rental experience:

Get the most from your spending budget:

  • Book your Carolina Beach rental in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • In the Carolina Beach area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your vacation home up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your family qualifies for a special rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer renters an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines contain offers and deals for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

Choosing the perfect rental home in Oak Island:

  • Start by selecting potential vacation weeks and a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. HGTV Winner: Oceanfront Hamptons-Style Retreat in Kings Lynn has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible on booking pages. If not, email the property owner before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If there's a specific Carolina Beach destination you are crazy about, keep an eye out for homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you will need a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request information on breed, size, and type requirements. Some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.

Tips to have a terrific stay:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Record any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are valuable if a dispute is filed.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your peace and quiet. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would have not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to confirm you did not forget any personal items. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a fantastic stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
