How to book the best Carolina Beach vacation home experience:

Get the most from your rental home budget:

  • Summer months are the most expensive season in the Carolina Beach area. To book the best rental home for your budget, we suggest reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular Carolina Beach attractions and restaurants.
  • In the Carolina Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation rental six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • Hosts sometimes offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family.
  • Property management companies often offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Carolina Beach area visitor guides that include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Narrow your Search:

  • First, have your family select dates and a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. 021 Summers Sunset by Sunset Vacations has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is generally available on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the property management company before reserving your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to determine which bed configuration is suitable for your vacation group.
  • Looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
  • Some rentals allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the host about pet restrictions before booking.

Know before you go:

  • We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To make certain no damages are attributed to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas upon your arrival. Make contact with the host right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few problems.
  • Be a good neighbor. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Just before checking out, take a walk-through to confirm you did not forget any personal items. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on great feedback to drive new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
