Come stay at our relaxing guest suite where you can walk to the beach in mins.! Our suite is only half a mile from the beach access on our street, as well as Publix, eateries, parks, and cafes. After a day calming at the beach or taking in local sites, you’ll appreciate appreciating our outdoor shower with hot and cold water. You’ll also savor sitting outside in our guest sitting area with your fav evening drink and taking in the peaceful.

Island Sense’s guest suite is a thoughtfully designed studio above our garage. We have a kitchenette with mini refrigerator & separate freezer… microwave… kuerig coffee maker… electric tea pot… plates & silverware etc are all included. We have a dining table and two chairs, appreciate seat, bags rack, queen sized bed (we include bed linens and hand & bath towels for all guests), 40” intelligent TV (Netflix supplied), 2 beach chairs, coolers for the beach, beach cart, charcoal grille, outdoor seating area and outdoor shower (with hot and cold water!).

Parking is painless and complimentary here (note from April 1st thru Sept 30 one needs to pay to park at the beach… but from our place you can conveniently walk and save that $$!)

All guests have a separate guest entrance and side yard nearly completely to themselves. Please note that we live in the main home on the property but rarely use the outdoor shower in the side yard.

We have a friendly outdoor cat named Tippy who might come to visit you. She believes anyone on our property has (obviously, lol) come here to see her. Feel complimentary to ignore her or adore on her.

We do not allow guests to bring family pets/service animals here because of Tippy and our elderly dog, Ellie, who is very scared of other dogs.

The owners have freshly installed a pool but due to insurance and liability issues, pool access for all guests is NOT supplied. We apologize, but please when booking a stay here, do so with the understanding that all guests are prohibited from using the pool. Thank you for understanding.

Please no smoking of any kind indoors. If you smoke, please let us know so we can put an ashtray outside for you. Thank you.

If you would like to rent bicycles, a golf cart, shibumi shade etc, please message me and I can send you info on local businesses who rent these items.

We live in a peaceful neighborhood so we do not allow events and ask that guests peaceful down at 10pm.

We ask that all adult guests are 21+. If you’d like to bring an older kid or a third guest, please message us to see if it’s possible.

Thank you for considering our little slice of heaven for your next vacation! We hope to host you soon!

Strategies to get the perfect vacation rental experience:

Finding your perfect rental home:

  • In the Carolina Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked very early. Booking your rental six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • To find the best value, shift your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer great temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Carolina Beach area visitors guides that include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to choose and book the rightvacation home:

  • Choose a group leader, choose your vacation week, and choose a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Adorable guest suite ~ only half a mile straight down the street to BEACH has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Carolina Beach rentals search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, call the host before you book the vacation property. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or costs might be applied to your invoice.
  • If there's a certain Carolina Beach attraction you simply love, keep an eye out for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .

During your stay:

  • Take a copy of the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property. Put the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental while you're out. Keep your property safe!
  • To make certain damages are not attributed to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas upon check in. Contact the property manager right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your peace. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would have not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • On check-out day, take a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent ratings to propel new reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
