Booking the best Holden Beach rental home experience:

Finding the best rental value:

  • In the Carolina Beach area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Reserving your vacation property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • Summer is high season in Holden Beach. To find the best rental home within your budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular Carolina Beach attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers usually offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Carolina Beach area visitors guides which will include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

How to pick the best vacation home:

  • Begin by selecting a vacation week and a max budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Completely Remodeled Home with Private Pool, Sunset-View Deck, WiFi - Near Trail has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Carolina Beach rental home search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is commonly available online. Otherwise, email the property management company before you book your home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you will need a pet-friendly property. Get details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you looking for specific amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.

Know before you go:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
  • Upon arrival, document any issues with the property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers disrupting your home life. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would've never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to make sure you haven't leave anything behind. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a wonderful time? Many rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
