Welcome to Southern Charm. ($107-356/room/nighttime/7 nights + costs) *See below for important booking requirements*

Are you looking for your own island escape? Do you long to feel those balmy evening ocean breezes? Needs space for the whole family? If so, experience Southern Charm Beach Style! You will be interacting directly with the owner of the home! Located at 1355 Ocean Blvd. West.

A enormous beach home rental to fit the whole family. A unique outdoor design underneath the home that integrates the huge in-ground pool (32'x14'), Tiki bar, and under the home, covering you if any weather problems or just want shade. It is one of the biggest beachfront units on the east coast. A private estate in a gated community, it is located on a twenty-two acre wildlife preserve at the tip of the island. Here, you can converse with nature, watch deer, fox, and rabbits in their natural habitat, all the while appreciating a spectacular three hundred and sixty degree view of the beach and the Shallotte inlet. You can even see as far as Ocean Isle Beach and the Intracoastal Waterway. A view nothing like you have seen before at the beach.

(Cant find your dates? I also own: Southern Grace (Listing #4038010) and Southern Bliss (Listing #7109460).

The home itself is, for lack of a better word, spectacular. It will sleep up to 50 guests in one of its 16 huge, well-appointed bedrooms (each has its own bathroom). It features two upsized suites along with 5 other bedrooms equipped with king size beds. There are seven bedrooms furnished with both a combination of queen beds as well as queen and single configurations. Let the kids savor their midnight pillow fights in one of the two bunk rooms, outfitted with both double and triple bunk beds. One bedroom is also HANDICAP accessible with a handicap bathroom. The home’s 17 bathrooms guarantee that no one ever has to wait before they grab their shower. In addition, the convenient elevator gives those tired knees a rest from all that beach volleyball.

There are two giant living spaces on each floor plus a secondary living room on the first floor. You’ll find yourself spending tons of time in the handsome over-sized great room. It features windows on three sides of the home that serve to bring the outside in. There’s also a separate movie/game room featuring a sizable HDTV, game table and foosball table. Speaking of TV’s, you’ll think that you are in Command Central. There are a total of 18 TVs throughout the home. These are Roku TVs so bring your logins or watch their complimentary content. If you want to surf the internet, or perhaps just catch up on a little late nighttime work, a blazing 500 Mbps of WI-FI Mesh access is available.

The upstairs movie/game room has a kitchenette (sink, microwave, drink refrigerator) and is a great hangout for the kids or to hold a breakout session with your church or club members. But when it’s time to really showcase your culinary skills preparing all that freshly caught seafood, you’re going to want to pull out all the stops and put the additional-sizable kitchen to work. The three fridges units keep everything fresh and cool while the 10-burner cooktop, 3 ovens and 3 microwaves let you try out your latest recipes.

You can bask in the sunshine beside the huge private pool, which can be heated when those nights get chilly (additional fee). With the beach having an east/west orientation, you get to see the sunrise and sunset and not loose the sun at the pool in the afternoon. When you’re tired of working on that tan, you can pull your chair over to the covered area on the large pool deck. This will get you out of the sun but still allow you to keep an eye on the kids in the pool. After the sun goes down, it’s time to grab a drink at the Tiki Bar. Or challenge someone to a game of corn hole, basketball (bring your ball), ring toss, etc. This area is well designed for large group gatherings and the presence of two gas grilles make food preparation simple for any type of event.

There are two full service laundry rooms equipped with washers and dryers, to make it painless to get all that sand out of your swimsuits, and if you’re worried about having too many on your guest list, there’s parking available for up to 24 cars.

Tired of those reverse floor plans with all the walking up and down? Have the common area integrated with the outside/pool area for better outside use and flow. Kitchen and great room on the elevated first floor with deck stairs to pool.

As you sit and relax, watching the sand and surf, from one of the double level decks on each side of the home, you see why Holden Beach has been nationally recognized as one of the premier “Family Beaches in the USA.” You will also make a mental note to return and experience ‘Southern Charm’ as often as you can. Just right for your family vacation, reunion, church getaway or event. All this for less than what a nice hotel would charge on a per room, per nighttime basis! With the 8200 s.f. of space, private pool, and ocean right in front of you thrown in! Whether you need a 13, 14 or 15 bedrooms or more, ‘Southern Charm’ has it all.

*IMPORTANT check-in/out requirements and pricing*:
*To book, 40% down (plus costs and taxes). Final payment 90 days from arrival.

*Sunday to Sunday rental (7-nighttime minimum) during summer season (great so you don't hit the typical Saturday rental turnover traffic). Other check-in days okay outside of the summer.

*To see accurate prices, search on Sunday to Sunday. Sunday to Thursday or Thursday to Sunday (or Friday to Monday Mem/Labor Day weekends-Xmas/New Years varies). Those are the only days you can book. I can bespoke adjust your dates, non summer, from there but those days of the week are the only ones that show the correct pricing. Prices accurate to Dec. 2024 (ask about pricing beyond that).

*Special rates for Church groups November through March.

*Weddings are welcome! $1,000 event fee.

*We highly encourage you to buy trip insurance in case your plans change. Sizable groups plan far in advance to get on everybody’s schedule. And with so many people, things can change or hurricane’s can come. We have little ability to re-rent for you to get your money back for any last min. changes so best to purchase trip insurance. It costs 7% for standard insurance or 10.8% for Cancel For Any Reason insurance (covers you for everything as you do not need a reason). After you book I can send a link to these options.

Getting the best Holden Beach rental experience:

Getting the best value:

  • Booking your Carolina Beach vacation home in Fall or Spring months is our best tip for saving money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property management companies typically offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Carolina Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides have discounts for nearby tours and attractions.

How to choose the best vacation home in Holden Beach:

  • Start by choosing a vacation week and a max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Oceanfront House-16 bedrooms/Pool/Elevator/Tiki Bar/Gated Comm. has 16 bedrooms and 17 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the host before you book the vacation home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to work out what configuration is suitable for your vacation family.
  • Visiting for a single attraction or event? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, hosts charge additional pet fees.

More tips for your visit:

  • Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • At Check-in, document any damages to the property and immediately contact the host. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents quite a few problems.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition.
  • Leave a review! Property owners rely on good reviews to compel more reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
