Retreat to Sunset Corner and savor our condo with comfortable furnishings and prime location!

Unwind and relax in a setting that has all the amenities of home PLUS simple-care elegance! The layout is flexible, offering two bedrooms/two baths. The master bedroom is configured as a king. The second bedroom is configured as two twin XLs. Appreciate the completely equipped kitchen with granite countertops and new appliances, as well as the balcony overlooking the immaculate golf course. Deluxe beds ensure a great nighttime’s sleep. Savor your morning coffee at the bistro table on the balcony, or relax on the broad modular couch with a good book. Intelligent TV/WIFI access will keep you connected.

Sunset Corner’s building is at the very end of our development, making it peaceful and private while still only a few mins. from the Sea Trails exit gates.

Sea Trail itself offers amenities including three 18 hole golf courses, eateries, and community garden. The Sea Trail Village Activity Center (VAC) is open to the public and is a short walk from our place. For a nominal additional daily cost, you would have access to the Indoor Pool (heated in winter), Indoor Jetted Hot Tub, Indoor Dry Sauna, Outdoor Pool & Lounging, Outdoor Kiddie Pool, Extensive 5,000 Sq Ft Pool Deck, Game Room (ping pong & more), Kid’s Activities (seasonal), Pool Bar (open seasonally), "House's Place at the beach" Restaurant & Snack Bar, Corn Hole Lawn Game, Outdoor Volley Ball Court, Massage (by appointment only), Yoga Classes (additional fee), and Pilates Classes (additional fee). The hours vary by season but are generally 8 AM to 8 PM.

If you do want to discover the world outside Sea Trail, then Sunset Beach is one of the cleanest, most beautiful and least commercial beaches on the East Coast (no high-rises!), appreciated for years by families and sportspeople alike. Our location means you’re only a few mins.’ away from the bridge that leads you over to the beach.

If your interest is fishing, you’ll find opportunities everywhere for beach, pier and charter boats.

If you adore golf, then in addition to the three signature courses on the Sea Trail property, there are another dozen within a 5-mile radius and more than 100 in the general area.

There are cozy stores, grocery stores and eateries within painless reach of our condo, not to mention access to Calabash, NC two miles away – home of famed Calabash seafood, gift stores and more. Larger Ocean Isle Beach is within four miles and has its own ambiance and opportunities for recreation. Also within an easy drive are the stores, eateries and recreational facilities of Little River, NC and north Myrtle Beach, with the nearest commercial airport in Myrtle Beach (about 35 miles away).

Sunset Corner’s owner is a longtime visitor with his family to Sunset Beach. You’ll find recommendations in the condo for “insider knowledge” eateries, shopping and more!

Strategies for getting the perfect vacation home experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season in coastal NC. To book the largest rental home for your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Carolina Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guides have deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

How to pick the best vacation home in the Carolina Beach area:

  • First and foremost, have your group commit to the best dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Sunset Corner – Perfect for Families, Couples, Beach Goers, and Golfers has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is often available online. Otherwise, contact the property manager before reserving the property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You'll need to establish what is right for your trip.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or charges applied to your invoice.
  • Looking for special amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.

Additional considerations:

  • Add the owner's phone number to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental home while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • To make sure no damages are attributed to your visit, make a record of any problem areas upon check in. text the rental manager right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers bothering your peace. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected everything. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a fantastic time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
