A Taste of Italy

A Taste of Italy has New York roots and a prime location in the heart of Wilmington along College Road – a combination that has helped solidify this market’s reputation as one of the best delis in the Port City. Opened in 1994 by a pair of brothers from NYC, patrons will find a world of inspired flavors that bring the taste of traditional New York Italian delicatessens to the Cape Fear region.

The deli menu is extensive and is perfectly suited for take-out lunches, family style meals, big catered events, and meats and cheese to enjoy with gusto at home. Patrons who are craving a quick lunch or dinner can order one of the signature sandwiches or salads, which include a Philly cheese steak, Sabett Hot Smoked Sausage Wedge, and grilled or blackened shrimp or chicken salads. Hungrier patrons can feast on a wide selection of fresh pastas, like pasta primavera, shrimp scampi, or Pasta Carbanaro with bacon, onion and Alfredo, or dive into a hearty meatball, chicken or eggplant parm sandwich. There is also a selection of breakfast items, as well as plenty of meats, cheeses and other gourmet foods that are sold by the pound and can be utilized for any home-cooked Italian dish. Always fresh and surprising, A Taste of Italy is a prime spot for Italian fare lovers to quickly, and completely, appease an appetite.
