Carolina Beach Inlet Association Great Chowder Cook-Off

There’s a lot more than just delicious chowder in store at the annual Carolina Beach Inlet Association Great Chowder Cook-Off. This highly anticipated event that supports a worthy local cause has plenty of entertainment, activities and food to go around, and is a fun-filled celebration that will appeal to all ages.

The event is free and open to the public, and while there is no charge for admission, a modest donation gives guests a free passport to try the many varieties of chowder available from talented local chefs. (Free hot dogs are also available at the event.) In addition to the grand cook-off which takes center stage, the event also features a live auction, a silent auction, a 50/50 drawing, a number of door prizes, and music provided by a local DJ to keep the good times rolling. With funds going to continuing efforts to educate and inform local communities on the importance of maintaining a safe and navigable inlet, the event is a great way to preserve the local landscape while having a ball.
