Tricks and tips to get the optimal Carolina Beach vacation property experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • Summer is high season in Oak Island. To get the best vacation home within budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • In the Carolina Beach area, The earlier your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked very early. Reserving your vacation property 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer renters an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitor guides contain offers and deals for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

Choosing and booking your prefect Carolina Beach rental home:

  • Select a group lead, choose your trip dates, and choose a spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. 1 Fine Day - Coastal Vacation Resorts has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is normally available online. Otherwise, contact the property owner before you reserve your rental. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine what configuration is optimal for your family.
  • If there's a particular Carolina Beach destination you simply love, search for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or costs applied to your contract.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
  • Record any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are valuable if a dispute is filed.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your peaceful home. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let thieves ruin your vacation.
  • On check-out day, take a walk-through to confirm you haven't forget any personal items. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a excellent vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
