How to book the best Ocean Isle Beach vacation home experience:

Sticking to a rental budget:

  • Booking in Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • In the Carolina Beach area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Booking your rental up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your family qualifies for a discount.
  • Property management companies typically offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines contain offers and deals for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Filter your search:

  • Start by having your group choose vacation dates and a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Amazing Ocean Views House w/ Private Saltwater Pool - 5 BR-4 BA - Sleeps 13 has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Carolina Beach vacation rental search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is generally available online. Otherwise, reach out to the property owner before you book the rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You'll need to determine what is suitable for your trip.
  • If there's a specific Carolina Beach destination you long to visit, look for properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly rental. Get information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, property owners charge additional pet fees.

Advice for a great stay:

  • Store the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To make sure no damages are linked to your visit, make a record of any problem areas upon your arrival. Call the host immediately to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers bothering your quiet neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Double-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a wonderful time? Most rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
