Get the most from your spending budget:

• Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are away, just like you would back home.

• Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed everything at check-out. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
• Go through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
• Did your group have a terrific time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
