How to get the best Carolina Beach rental home experience:

Finding the best rental value:

  • Summer time is high season in Sunset Beach. Booking a rental in Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved early. Booking your vacation property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • Some property managers offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your family.
  • Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Carolina Beach area visitor guides which include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to choose the best rental in the Carolina Beach area:

  • Start by having your group agree to date ranges and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Extra large first floor condo with indoor & outdoor pools, close to the beach. has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the property management company before reserving your rental. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to work out what is best for your trip.
  • Does your family require specific amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or could be applied to your contract.

Advice for a fantastic stay:

  • Add the owner's contact information to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Note any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately contact the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are very helpful if there is a dispute.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, elevator or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of issues.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers disrupting your peaceful home. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed everything on check-out day. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to stimulate more bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
