Just Beachy is located on the more remote west end of Oak Island, a barrier island on the southern end of North Carolina’s photogenic coastline. Oak Island offers nearly 10 miles of beachfront and is marked by the Atlantic Ocean to the south, and the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW) to the north. With its unique southward-facing shoreline, beachgoers can appreciate excellent vistas of both sunrise and sunset over the ocean. It was also named one of the best beaches on the Southern coast in Coastal Living’s Spring 2023 issue.

Just Beachy is a comfortable beach home that sleeps 12 and is just steps to the sandy beach! When you envision a classic family beach vacation, you're most likely picturing Oak Island, whether you know it yet or not. It's no wonder this timeless place has been attracting visitors since the early 19th century. After all this time, uncrowded beaches still greet anyone who visits this peaceful community.

Telephone the broad oceanfront deck your home base for working on your tan, appreciating your favorite summertime novel in the array of lounge chairs and rockers or stargazing. Look left to catch the sunrise with your morning coffee or look right to catch the sunset with your happy hour drink of choice.

Just Beachy has charming vistas through the sliding glass doors that overlook the ocean. The modern kitchen includes stainless steel appliances and granite counters, making it the ideal spot to prepare local shrimp, clams, or oysters that you can savor on the dining table on the deck. Or choose from the local eateries serving your favorite seafood or a variety of American, Italian and Mexican. The Lonerider Tap House and Grille where you can enjoy a cold drink and relax with friends with vistas of the marshy estuary and pelicans is a few blocks away.

Just Beachy is impressive every season of the year. Wireless internet, a monitor and desk allow you to work remotely, if you must, year-round. The home also features a washer/dryer, exercise center access, an electric car charger and outdoor shower.

The Living Space

The living room includes comfortable couches and upholstered rockers commanding handsome vistas through the sliding glass doors that overlook the ocean. After star-gazing is complete, guests can gather around the flat-screen intelligent T.V.

Past the dining room table that features benches with plenty of seating, the modern kitchen is finished with stainless steel appliances, granite counters, and white cabinets throughout, making it the ideal spot to prepare your favorite coastal-inspired meal while enjoying the spectacular view.

Where You'll Sleep

The main floor welcomes you to a pair of bedrooms equipped with a king bed, mounted flat-screen T.V. and plenty of closet space. The pair of suites are conjoined through the shared bathroom that is finished with a dual vanity and walk-in shower.

The first bedroom on the second floor features a twin-over-double bunk bed to go along with an additional double and a mounted flat-screen T.V. All bedrooms have cell phone and device chargers.

Joined by the shared bathroom, the final bedroom is topped with a pair of queen beds and a mounted flat-screen T.V. as well.

Tips and Tricks to get the optimal rental home experience:

When to visit Oak Island & When to book:

  • The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Reserving your rental property 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To find the best value, shift your vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer excellent temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property managers typically offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Many rental management companies supply Carolina Beach area visitors guide magazines that include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Filter your rental search:

  • Select dates and maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Just Beachy: 4 Bed\/2.5 Bath Oceanfront Home on West Beach has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is often accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, contact the property owner before reserving the rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Some properties allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask your host about your furry family members before booking.
  • Does your family require particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

During your stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • To make sure that damages are not attributed to your family's visit, note any problem areas during check in. message the property manager immediately to record your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a great source for finding the best local scenic spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on great reviews to inspire future bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
