Finding the best vacation property experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • Summer time is high season in Holden Beach. To get the best value, consider shifting your vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer great temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property managers typically offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Look for your local Carolina Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides have coupons for local accommodations and attractions.

Narrow your Search:

  • To start, have your group decide on dates and a budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration you need. Kind Of A Big Deal at Holden Beach, Private home with pool and elevator has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible online. If not, reach out to the property manager before you book the vacation home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to establish what configuration is suitable for your vacation.
  • Visiting for a specific event? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask your host about pets before booking.

More considerations:

  • We recommend storing the owner's information in your smartphone.
  • To make sure that damages are not attributed to your family's stay, inspect for any problem areas when you arrive. message the property manager right away to record any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few issues.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at departure. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to drive future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
