Vacation rental booking tips and tricks:

When to visit Carolina Beach & When to reserve a Carolina Beach rental home:

  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer is high season in the Carolina Beach area. To book the largest rental for your budget, we recommend reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at Carolina Beach restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Some property management companies offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies usually offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Carolina Beach area travel guides which will include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning and choosing the right Carolina Beach rental home:

  • Start by selecting a vacation week and a max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. 1110 Lake Lure By The Sea by Atlantic Towers has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property owner before you book the rental. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, search for a pet-friendly rental. Get information on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a certain Carolina Beach beach you are crazy about, keep an eye out for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.

Tips to have a wonderful stay:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your . Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few problems.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let burglars ruin your trip.
  • At Check-in, make note of any issues with the property and immediately alert the host. Record all coorespondence.
  • Be respectful. Often, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to drive more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
