Carolina Beach vacation rental home tips:

When to visit Wilmington & When to reserve a rental home:

  • The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • Summer time is high season in the Carolina Beach area. To find the largest rental within your budget, we highly recommend reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Booking websites typically offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Look for your local Carolina Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines contain discounts for local tours, shops, and attractions.

Finding the perfect rental:

  • Choose your vacation dates and maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Perfect Downtown Home has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Carolina Beach vacation rental search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email the property owner before you book your rental. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or charges may be applied to your invoice.
  • If there's an individual Carolina Beach attraction you long to visit, keep an eye out for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.

Tips for your stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Add a note with the instructions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent many concerns.
  • Lock your rental while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • Make a record of any damages to the property at check in, and immediately send them to the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are useful if a dispute is filed.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors disrupting your peace. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would've never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all of your things. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did you have a excellent time? Most rental managers make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
