Tips for getting the perfect rental home experience:

Getting the most from your rental home budget:

  • Summer months are high season in the Carolina Beach area. To get the best rental home within budget, we suggest booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants.
  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Look for your local Carolina Beach area magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guides have coupons for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Filter your rental search:

  • Select a group leader, choose your trip dates, and choose a spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Second Row Beach Home with Marsh and Beach Views! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is often available on booking pages. If not, email or call the property manager before you book the rental. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to determine what configuration is optimal for your group.
  • If there's a specific Carolina Beach beach you crave, look for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some property owners charge additional pet fees.

Have a fantastic stay:

  • Add the owner's contact information to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • During check-in, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Just before checking out, take a final walk-through to make sure you didn't leave anything behind. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a great stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
