Tips to get the best Carolina Beach vacation home experience:

Get the best value:

  • The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • Booking in Fall or Spring is an excellent way to save on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Many rental management companies supply Carolina Beach area travel guides which will include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Selecting the perfect rental in Wilmington:

  • Begin by selecting potential vacation weeks and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. The Palm House *Walk Downtown has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Carolina Beach rentals search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is usually available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the host before reserving your home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a property that allows animals. Request information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental

More considerations for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your . Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, intercom or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of concerns.
  • Lock your rental home while you are out. Protect your property!
  • To ensure that damages are not linked to your stay, make note of any problem areas during check in. E-mail the host right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a great stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
