Tips to get the very best Carolina Beach vacation rental experience:

Getting the best rental value:

  • The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your vacation home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • To get the most suitable rental home for your budget, we highly recommend booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at Carolina Beach restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides contain deals for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

How to select the perfect rental home in the Carolina Beach area:

  • Begin by choosing vacation dates and a budget.
  • Private Pool & Ocean Views
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is generally available on booking websites. If not, reach out to the property owner before you book your home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • If there's a specific Carolina Beach destination you love, search for homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .

Additional considerations:

  • Get the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. Put the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of issues.
  • Lock your rental while you are out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • To make certain that damages aren't linked to your stay, inspect for any problem areas upon check in. text the rental manager immediately to document any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent resource to find the best local attractions.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave a review! Property owners rely on good reviews to drive new bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will will be grateful for your feedback find their best rental home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
