Our top Carolina Beach rental booking tips and tricks:

How to get the best value:

  • The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked very early. Reserving your rental home six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • June, July, and August are high season in Ocean Isle Beach. Booking your Carolina Beach vacation home in Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
  • Booking websites often offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Carolina Beach area visitor guide magazines that include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Selecting the best rental home in the Carolina Beach area:

  • Select a designated group leader, select your trip dates, and select a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Islander Villa Condo / Oceanfront Views! Sleeps 12 has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is commonly available on booking pages. If not, call the property manager before reserving the rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or charges may be applied to your contract.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction or event? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental

Advice for your stay:

  • We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent a lot of concerns.
  • Lock your rental home while you are out. Protect your property!
  • During check-in, note any issues with the property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an incredible resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and look for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a wonderful stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
