How to get the best Carolina Beach rental experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer months are high season in Wrightsville Beach. To get the best rental home within your budget, we strongly suggest booking in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Some hosts offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies often offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Carolina Beach area visitors guide magazines that include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to choose and book the best Carolina Beach rental:

  • Begin by choosing a vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your family requires. Stunning oceanfront end unit in Duneridge! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Carolina Beach vacation rental search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally available on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the property management company before you book the property. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the property manager about your furry family members before booking.
  • If there's a certain Carolina Beach destination you are crazy about, keep an eye out for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Get the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents many difficulties.
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • During check-in, document any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a excellent time? Most rental websites make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
