Carolina Beach rental booking tips and tricks:

When to book a Carolina Beach rental & When to go:

  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Book your vacation in the Fall or Spring to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your family qualifies for a discount.
  • Property managers usually offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Many property management companies supply Carolina Beach area visitor guide magazines which will include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to choose the perfect vacation home in the Carolina Beach area:

  • Choose a group leader, choose your dates, and select a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. A Beach Music Paradise Too: Pool, Outdoor Living Spaces Galore & Ocean Views on has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is usually available online. If they are not listed, reach out to the property management company before reserving the home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you must reserve a property that allows animals. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
  • Looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.

More tips for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Document any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately contact the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be valuable if a dispute arises.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Just prior to departing, complete a walk-through to confirm you didn't forget anything. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, remember to take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a great vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
