Our top Carolina Beach rental property booking tips and tricks:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • In the Carolina Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved very early. Booking your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Booking in Fall or Spring months is our best tip for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Carolina Beach area travel guide magazines which will include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to choose the best vacation home in the Carolina Beach area:

  • Start by choosing your trip dates and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Beach Therapy 4 bedroom Island Park home has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the property owner before you book your home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you must book a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's an individual Carolina Beach attraction you are crazy about, browse homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking

More considerations for your visit:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. Put the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few concerns.
  • Lock your rental home while you are out. Protect your property!
  • At Check-in, note any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Record all coorespondence.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are an incredible source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on good reviews to drive new reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
