Getting the best Oak Island rental experience:

When to visit & When to book:

  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. To find the largest rental within budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Booking websites typically offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Carolina Beach area travel guides which often include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Narrow your Search:

  • Select a group lead, choose your vacation dates, and choose a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Beautiful & Spacious,10 Bdrm/8.5 Bath Beach Mountain w/ Elevator & POOL has 10 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Carolina Beach rentals search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is often available on booking websites. If not, email the property management company before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You will need to determine what configuration is best for your group.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask your host about pet restrictions before booking.
  • If there's an individual Carolina Beach attraction you are enamored with, look for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking

Some things to know before you go:

  • Put the owner's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many problems.
  • Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
  • To make sure that damages aren't linked to your family's stay, make note of any problem areas upon your arrival. Speak to the property manager right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers disrupting your home life. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the property a final time and look for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Leave feedback! Hosts rely on great feedback to stimulate future reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best rental home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
