About this Property
“Life’s a Beach” Upper unit is a Pet Friendly upper duplex managed by Dale and Salt Water Real Estate and is the ideal beach location to bring the ENTIRE family, paws and ALL! This second floor two bed/one bath apartment is just two blocks from our sandy shores, a moderate walk to downtown CB, and all the sea sights, sounds, and experiences you are looking for!
Pleasure Island has become a RAPIDLY increasing holiday destination for the entirety of the East coast and beyond for many reasons. Because we are in fact a true island, “overcrowding” isn’t in of itself a tremendous issue. Limited parking and available housing will always create a comfortable “max capacity” that will always give a appealing (and healthy) occupancy level and mood that, despite the “hordes”, will always leave copious complimentary space for those looking for a bit more “distancing” and privacy. It’s also what is making the real unit market shoot through the roof! It’s an AMAZING place to visit, live, and never leave!
The suite is located in the heart of Carolina Beach and a moderate walking distance to downtown and everything that is has to offer. In Carolina Beach you’ve got the boardwalk, eateries, and local stores of all kinds. If you like adventures, the marina is also there where you can take an offshore fishing trip, diving excursion, or event boat out for a sunset sail. Camping more your thing? Come with the 4X4 and drive (and camp) on the beach at Freeman Park, located on the North End of the island. You can also head down to Kure Beach and fish directly off their fishing pier compete with bait, tackles, and more! The Carolina Beach Lake is close by, hosting a weekly Farmer’s Market every Saturday, FIREWORKS every Thursday, and outdoor summer movies on Sunday’s (on a enormous inflatable screen in the middle of the lake!). We welcome you to sit back, relax and savor yourselves because that's exactly what the beach is for! * (due to Covid, please be prepared for periodic deviations from our usually scheduled events).
These suites are a mixture of the original “period” construction and old-world appeal, a kiss of shabby-chic modernity, and today’s technology because hey, there’s got to be something for everybody! Each suite has its own distinct traits, quirks, and characteristics. Above all else, it should feel like your “home away from home” while visiting with us on our Island!
The entry to this 2 bedroom/1 bath suite opens up into a huge, newly furbished family room combined with an open dining area and kitchen. Courtesy organic soap and shampoo are left in the bathroom of each suite as well as a (1) starter roll of TP, a (1) garbage bag, dish soap, and a sponge in each kitchen. *It is important to note that it is NOT an owner’s job to give personal family items for visitors. From toiletries and linens, to community food stuffs and condiments, It is ESPECIALLY important during this current climate for any used items of another to be discarded before our new visitors arrive to ensure an optimally hygienic space
There's TWO QUEEN and ONE FULL pullout bed on site because we want all of our visitors to be appealing when it comes time to recharge (do bear in mind the appreciation level of pullouts for long stays!). Remember, linens are NOT included in order to keep our prices low. You can bring them from home with you, buy them locally, or rent them (refer to Low Tide Linens & Units). If renting, please let Low Tide know that you are a guest of SWRE as they will give you with an additional 10% discount!
There is a TV (with approx. 25 channels through the Charter Spectrum cable service or application) along with a WIFI computer connection for when it's time to sit back and appreciate some movies or shows after a long day at the beach! Come with a Fire Stick, Apple TV, Laptop w/ HDMI cable or other such casting device if looking to ensure all of the tech comforts from home are available during your stay!
We equip each suite with its own books, games, and misc. accessories to help cover the basis for our visitors to enjoy themselves in rain or shine. Sometimes however, these items are removed from the suite and not replaced and we do not realize it (tsk tsk!). If you notice something we’ve bragged about missing please let us know!
The BACKYARD: The backyard is intended for both units to be able to congregate, BBQ, play, and have a blast. Please do NOT let your family dogs and cats loose in the back. Feel complimentary to utilize the front yard, side yard, or any number of striking neighborhood walks to help your furry children relieve themselves.
The SUITE: Guests have full access to their own private SUITE along with a respective outdoor space, patio, or balcony. Each suite can vary slightly in archetype but what’s private for each guest or is a common area for all to share IS effortlessly recognizable.
PARKING: Each guest will have access to (2) two parking spaces. The Lower unit should park side by side to the left of the drive. The upper unit should park one in front of the other IN the drive.

How to Book a Vacation Home
Newcomers are sometimes shocked at the range and wide selection of short term properties available in the Carolina Beach area. With such a wide selection, clients are certain to come across a rental that matches their wishes and spending budget.
Rentals are frequently owner operated or managed by property management companies. Vacation rental management companies leverage scale, staff and practical experience to provide trouble-free operational management on behalf of the homeowner..
We have assembled a brief guide to assist you in getting most from your rental home experience.
Searching for and reserving the best rental home:
Do you believe "“Life’s a Beach” Pet Friendly upper unit duplex " is the perfect rental property for your next trip? Look over this check list to make sure it fits all of your needs.
The Earlier, The Better
Like many renowned hot spots, In Carolina Beach the best vacation rentals are booked early. To ensure the best choice of rental homes, we suggest searching and booking your Carolina Beach rental home 6-Twelve months in advance, whenever possible. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental home..
Choose a Town and Time
Sometimes, the hardest portion of planning your vacation is figuring out where to go, and when. When the big decisions are resolved, the rest is easier.
Just How Much Rental Do You Really Need?
How many family members are planning to share your getaway? Try to remember that most rental homes list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in the living area. You'll need to figure out what is suitable for the family. Specific descriptions of bedrooms and beds are commonly accessible online. If not, speak to the property owner before you reserve the home.
Stay on a Budget
Make sure "“Life’s a Beach” Pet Friendly upper unit duplex " fits your budget *during your desired week*. Make sure to get cost-sharing commitments from travel companions well before booking a costly rental home. Typically, a single member of the group will be liable for making the whole reservation and collecting each party's contribution.
What amenities is your group interested in? Is a screened-in porch a necessity? Will the unit need to be beachfront, the downtown area, or near shopping? Are extras like beach chairs, grills, umbrellas, buggies or coolers available and included with your rental home charge? Make a list of "necessities and wishes" from your party to help filter your search to the perfect property.
Do some members of your party have specific needs? Make certain to remember and inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and special equipment needs..
What About Furry Family Members?
Are you or other members of the crew traveling with a furry friend? Pet policies are different at each rental property. Study descriptions thoroughly. Ensure that you study agreements and contracts carefully. Extra fees may apply when pets are added. If in doubt, ask the property manager and get it in writing.
Best places to Search
When the place, dates and family members are decided, search multiple sources to get the best rental selection. In addition to Homeaway, VRBO and Tripadvisor, we recommend searching Google for "Carolina Beach local vacation homes" for local vacation rental management companies. In addition to having distinctive rental properties, local companies offer top-notch service..
Re-read the description to be certain the rental has everything you need. If lacking, the home management company might know of comparable homes that suit your preferences and budget..
While not true for all rental properties, many property owners and property managers will negotiate rates. If they are unwilling to budge on a highly-desirable week, try asking for an extra night. This is more effective during the off-season when many homes sit vacant.
Study the Total Contract
It is advisable to know which services are included:
