If guests in the other unit are being far too loud, please let us know and we will address that with them immediately.

Rental home tips and tricks:

Find your perfect rental home:

  • June, July, and August are high season in Wilmington. Reserve your rental property in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Booking websites usually offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Carolina Beach area visitor guides that include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Filter your search:

  • Select a designated group leader, choose your vacation week, and choose a max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Downtown Escape - 5 blocks to Riverwalk has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is usually available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the property owner before booking the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You will need to work out what bed configuration is optimal for your family.
  • If there's an individual Carolina Beach beach you are crazy about, look for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or charges applied to your agreement.

Advice for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
  • Note any issues with the property during check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be helpful if damages are assessed.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers disrupting your home life. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
  • Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on great feedback to stimulate more bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your review find their best vacation rental. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
