Tips to get the very best Carolina Beach rental home experience:

When to visit Wilmington & When to book:

  • In the Carolina Beach area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation rental up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • Summer is the most expensive season in Wilmington. To find the best rental home for your budget, we highly recommend booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property managers usually offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Carolina Beach area visitor guide magazines which will include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Filter your rental search:

  • Choose your vacation dates and maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration you need. Lavender Guesthouse - A Private Oasis Downtown. has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Carolina Beach rentals search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is generally available on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before you book the property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, search for a pet-friendly property. Get details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.

More considerations:

  • Take a copy of the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental while you are out. Keep your property safe!
  • Record any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately send them to the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are useful if a dispute is filed.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to confirm you did not leave anything behind. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and look for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on great reviews to compel more reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
