Tips and Tricks to get the best Holden Beach rental home experience:

Finding the best rental value:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Carolina Beach area. Reserve your Carolina Beach vacation in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Booking websites usually offer guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Many property management companies supply Carolina Beach area travel guides which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

How to choose the best vacation rental:

  • Start by choosing trip dates and a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. \"My Sunshine\" - Oceanfront Condo, 2 Bedrooms / 2 Bathrooms has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, call the property management company before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If there's a particular Carolina Beach destination you are enamored with, browse rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you will need a rental that allows animals. Request information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.

Advice for a fantastic stay:

  • Add the host's contact information to your phone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • To make certain that damages are not attributed to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon your arrival. E-mail the property manager right away to relay any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are away, just like you would at home.
  • Double-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and look for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, remember to take video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a wonderful vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
