About this Property

  • Private vacation home
  • Approximately 2400 square feet

Our home is oceanfront in Carolina Beach, North Carolina. It is an older style bungalow constructed in the 1940's and we added a third floor and refreshed in 2003. Complete remodel in spring 2020.

There are great vistas with pretty porches and decks overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. In the Spring of 2008, the ground floor was added to the rental making it a full home rental. Full kitchen was modernized on middle floor in 2011 with dishwasher and garbage disposal. All new appliances in 2020. Two master suites with mini refrigerator and coffee/tea bar in one. Bathrooms in the old part of the bungalow were remodeled with new tile showers in 2016.

The ground floor does have a separate entrance into a game room with a pool table. We newly added a spiral staircase leading to the middle floor. This floor has one queen bedroom and full bath. A theater room is located on the ground floor with a big screen intelligent TV, popcorn machine and refrigerator. A new front loading washer and dryer were added to this floor in 2020. There is a queen air bed that can be used in the theater room to sleep 2 kids.

The middle floor has a full kitchen and family room with a newly updated open floor plan, one queen bedroom, and one full bathroom. The living area has a intelligent tv and a game/puzzle table and sectional couch. The dining area has a sizable table with seating for 8-10., and additional bar seating for two. The kitchen is entirely supplied and offers a enormous pantry area and adequate workspace. There is a excellent open porch with rockers and a table/chairs for eating or playing games. There are two outdoor showers; an open shower on the walkway from the beach to rinse off sand, and a closed hot and cold shower to savor your daily shower.

The top floor has two huge oceanfront King master suites with private baths. Each bedroom opens onto the top porch with a porch swing and loungers. You DO have to walk through one of the bedrooms to get to the interior stairs. There are exterior stairs off the porch as well.

The home will sleep 8 people in beds and two more on an air bed.

This home is located on the north end of Carolina Beach, a quieter and more calming part of the beach. The Boardwalk, fishing pier and charter boats are all within walking distance. Savor the many eateries, kid's activities, and just strolling on the beach! Bicycle, chair, umbrella and boat units are all within one mile of the home. There is a private deck and walkway to the beach, a brick grille and fireplace to prepare out, and everything you need to have a outstanding relaxing vacation! There are complimentary summer concerts each month, Sunday nighttime family movies at the lake, Thursday nighttime fireworks, as well as a magnificent Seafood Blues and Jazz Festival in October.

The NC Aquarium is a short drive as well as the USS NC Battleship Memorial and historic Wilmington! You can take a handsome 30 min. ferry ride from Fort Fisher, just a few miles away, to Southport, another historic and impressive town on the water. There are fabulous eateries and antique stores in historic Southport. Come and appreciate our phenomenal vacation home! We vacation there too, so you can count on it being well kept!

FAMILIES AND RESPONSIBLE ADULTS ONLY! We have the right to refuse units to groups or students. This is a NONSMOKING RENTAL and NO FAMILY PETS ACCEPTED.

Tricks and tips to get the very best vacation rental experience:

When to go & When to reserve a rental home:

  • To find the largest rental within your budget, we suggest booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions.
  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Carolina Beach area visitors guides which will include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Make a plan and choose your prefect Carolina Beach rental home:

  • Choose your vacation week and max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Oceanfront House-Sleeps 8-10 Rec Room and Theater Room has 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property manager before you book the rental. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You will need to determine what configuration is suitable for your vacation.
  • Visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, property owners charge additional pet fees.

More tips for your visit:

  • Store the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, inspect for any problem areas during check in. Speak to the host immediately to report your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific source for finding the best local spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • When it's time to leave, complete a walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a wonderful vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
