  • Lock your rental home while you are out. Protect your property!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected everything. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a wonderful stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
