When to book & When to go:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. Booking in the Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
  • In the Carolina Beach area, The sooner you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers usually offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.

  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and look for damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
